  • Why do you need health insurance?

In short, you need health insurance to protect you from high medical costs. Unexpected costs at the hospital or medical center can be high if you are not insured. Of course, no one plans to get sick or hurt, but having group health insurance or an individual plan should be a priority.
  • How much does health insurance cost?

The price of health insurance premiums can vary depending on coverage needs, deductible amounts, and companies that offer health insurance in your area. First Mutual Insurance Group consults with you on your needs and helps you find business health insurance plans that work with your budget.
  • What is the difference between a PPO network and HMO network?

PPO stands for Preferred Provider Organization. This simply means that a doctor is preferred within your health insurance coverage, offering a lower cost to you and the insurer. You can still go to a doctor outside of the PPO, but it may cost you more out of pocket. On the other hand, HMO plans typically have lower monthly premiums and lower out-of-pocket costs. PPOs tend to have higher monthly premiums in exchange for the flexibility to use providers both in and out of network without a referral, which is an important distinction when choosing health insurance for employers.
